The Center for Arab-West Understanding (CAWU), an Egyptian NGO hosting a student-internship program, contributes with student content. Arab-West Report has been producing interviews, background reports and longer academic papers to facilitate dialogue and promote understanding in local communities as well as aid policymakers and researchers. The database can be accessed on the Dialogue Across Borders website.

About Our Logo

Our logo for all organizations belonging to our Arab-West group is based on two letters, the Arabic ع ('aīn) and the Latin 'w'. The suggestion for this logo was proposed in 2005 by the Egyptian artist Farid Fadel, a friend of the Arab-West Foundation. The 'aīis the first letter of the word Arab. The W is the first letter of the word West. The 'aīis a very unique letter in the Arabic alphabet and thus a good representation for the Arabic world. The 'aīis also the first letter of the Arabic word 'eye', a word reflecting that we should have an eye for each other.
